Martinsville school budget up .4 million

Martinsville School Superintendent Zeb Talley presented his new budget to the school board on Monday. Talley says he needs $30.8 million in the new year, up $1.4 million over last year, and an extra $178,346 in local funding. The local share would be about $6.4 million. Talley is proposing a 2% across-the-board raise to employees who will serve a projected 1,791 students.
