Obituaries

Michael Anthony “Tony” Bryant, 54, of Martinsville, Virginia, passed away Sunday, August 24, 2025. He was born July 4, 1971, in Henry County to Jayne Bryant and the late Michael Eugene Bryant.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his wife, Cynthia Sue Clark Bryant; an infant son, William Michael Bryant; maternal grandfather, William Roland; and paternal grandparents, Pete Bryant and Mozelle Bryant; father-in-law, Larry Clark.

Tony worked in maintenance for the textile industry for more than thirty years, where his skill and dedication earned him several certificates for the many jobs he performed. A proud Virginia Tech fan, he also enjoyed watching NASCAR, fishing, hunting, and spending time with his beloved dogs. Known as a very hard worker, Tony was devoted to going to work each day and giving his best. Beyond his career and hobbies, his greatest joy was found in his family and friends. He was a loving father, grandfather, and loyal friend, and a man who cared deeply for others, leaving behind a legacy of love and devotion.

He is survived by his daughter, Kristan Bryant; sister, Tonya Bryant; maternal grandmother, Maria Roland; mother-in-law, Brenda Clark; grandchildren, Kayleigh Joyce, Rhyland Joyce, and Raelyn Joyce; several nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

A graveside service will be held Saturday, August 30, 2025, at 11:00 AM at Stoneville Cemetery, 107 S Henry Street, Stoneville, North Carolina, 27048 with Pastor Ronald Hairston officiating. A visitation will be held Friday, August 29, 2025, from 4:00 PM – 6:00 PM at Wright Funeral Service Chapel.
