A 45-year-old teacher has been arrested and charged with stalking a juvenile student following an investigation by the Pittsylvania County Sheriff’s Office, authorities announced Thursday.
Whitney Barrett Farr was being held without bond in the Pittsylvania County Jail, according to an Oct. 1 news release. A protective order also was served on Farr, the sheriff’s office said.
Investigators began looking into the allegations after receiving information about alleged inappropriate conduct by a teacher toward a juvenile student, according to the release. The investigation led to the stalking charge.
The Pittsylvania County school district is cooperating with the investigation, authorities said.
The release did not identify the school where Farr teaches or provide details about the alleged conduct, when it occurred or Farr’s employment status. It also did not specify an arrest date or a court date.
