A former juvenile detention home employee in Danville, 42-year-old Wendy Warren, pleaded guilty to two counts of taking indecent liberties with a child by a person in a custodial or supervisory relationship and one count of carnal knowledge of certain minors.

She was arrested on February 23 after a report earlier that month and was fired on February 12.

Investigators found that between August 2022 and July 2023, Warren engaged in non-forcible sexual contact with a 15-year-old male in custody at W.W. Moore, Jr. Juvenile Detention Home.

A nine-year employee, Warren faces up to 15 years in prison. Sentencing is set for May 19.
