Carroll County Sheriff’s Deputy Logan Utt was laid to rest Friday, one week after he was killed in the line of duty. Utt, a husband and father of two, was remembered as a dedicated public servant who previously served as a firefighter and veteran. Sheriff Kevin Kemp said Utt made a lasting impact during his three years with the department and will never be forgotten. Kemp also announced that Deputy Michael Dean, who was wounded in the same incident, has recovered and been cleared to return to duty.
