It was another tense night in Council Chambers, with Mayor LC. Jones publicly repeated a slang term he claimed led and used profanity during an interview with the media.
He slammed the gavel loudly, declaring a recess after attempting to wrestle Councilman Julian Mei into silence. Shortly afterward, Mei said he hyperventilated and passed out on the dais.
After over three hours, mostly behind closed doors, the Council voted to have its legal firm turn over an unredacted copy of the investigation and forensic audit to the special prosecutor investigating the city’s finances.
