The Blue Ridge Parkway is still recovering from Hurricane Helene over a year ago. Officials say that with much of the iconic road reopened, visitation is returning, with more than 2.5 million people in October of last year, following a sharp drop from the year prior. Helene caused widespread damage, and closures and repairs still continue.
