Average gas prices in Virginia have fallen 4.2 cents per gallon in the last week, averaging $2.84 a gallon today, according to GasBuddy. The national average has risen 2.5 cents to $3.00.
The average price in Henry County is down two cents to $2.78, and Martinsville is down six cents to $2.80.
Patrick DeHann with Gasbuddy says a US-China trade deal could keep the national average above $3, but he believes prices will slip back below $3 before Thanksgiving.
