Bryan Keith Howell, 65, of Martinsville, Virginia, passed away on Sunday, January 25, 2026. He was born in Martinsville, Virginia, on May 18, 1960, to Carol Howell Galloway and the late James Cahill.

In addition to his father, he is preceded by stepfather, William Galloway.

He proudly served his country in the United States Air Force and was employed 27 years as a truck driver. Bryan was a mechanic and loved his job as a truck driver. He was a history buff and enjoyed building things, watching NASCAR racing, and spending time outdoors. He was a man who loved his family. Although he is no longer with us, his legacy of strength and love will always be remembered.

He is survived by his wife, Posie Red Hairston; daughter, Gina Hairston (Amber); son, Bryan Howell, Jr. (Kaleen); sister, Erica Galloway (Andy); Jina Venable (Melvin); brother, Rodney Galloway (Mia); Jay Cahill (Crystal); and three grandchildren.

The funeral will be held Monday, February 2, 2026, at 11:30 AM at Wright Funeral Service Martinsville Chapel. Interment will follow at Carver Memorial Gardens. A visitation will be held thirty minutes prior to the service. The family will receive friends and extended family daily between the hours of 10:00 AM – 8:00 PM.
