Elizabeth Jean Saunders Foley, age 55, of Collinsville, Virginia, passed away peacefully on Sunday, February 8, 2026, at her home. She was born on July 18, 1970, in Greensboro, North Carolina, to the late James Alvin Saunders and Peggy Haynes Saunders, who survives.

Elizabeth was known for her gentle spirit and caring heart. She worked in customer service within the food service industry, where her friendly nature and willingness to help others made a lasting impression. Outside of work, Elizabeth found joy in bird watching, celebrating Native American culture, caring for animals, and spending cherished time with her family and friends. Her love for those around her was evident in everything she did.

Elizabeth had a deep appreciation for music and creativity. She especially loved Michael Jackson and enjoyed expressing herself through poetry, earning recognition in college for her writing talents. She was also an amazing painter with a creative eye and a passion for artistic expression. Curious and thoughtful, Elizabeth enjoyed researching different religions and learning about the world around her. She was known for her gift of conversation and her ability to connect with people, making others feel welcomed and understood.

In addition to her mother, Peggy Haynes Saunders, she leaves to cherish her memory her beloved son, Austin Foley (Tania Lopez); two treasured grandchildren, Rosalyn Foley and Hinata Foley; her fiancé, Jeffery Suggett; her brother, Stephen Saunders; and her sister, Sharon Martin (Perry). She is also lovingly remembered by her former husband, Terry Foley, along with many extended family members and friends who will miss her dearly.

Elizabeth’s life was defined by compassion, creativity, laughter, and the simple joy of being surrounded by those she loved. Her memory will forever remain in the hearts of all who knew her.
