Obituary For Kristin Prillaman Church
Kristin Prillaman Church, 45, of Roanoke, Virginia, transitioned to her heavenly home Thursday, October 7, 2025. She was born July 20, 1980, in Martinsville, Virginia, to Kim Prillaman Flora and the late James Michael Martin.
In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her maternal grandfather, Harry Leonard “H.L.” Prillaman, Jr.
Kristin was of the Christian faith and grew up a member of Fort Trial Baptist Church in Stanleytown, Virginia. From an early age, Kristin enjoyed the arts; she was especially enthusiastic about music. Each note she sang and every song that echoed from her piano was a gift to everyone who knew her. Kristin loved to sing whenever she had a chance and her life shone as bright as the melodies she loved to perform. She grew into a woman who loved to be outdoors; taking care of her flowers became a peaceful pastime for her.
To further her education in the field of mental health, Kristin had been accepted into Virginia Western Community College in Roanoke where she planned to attend this spring. She always took the time to make a difference in the lives of those around her. As her last act of kindness, she had even chosen to become an organ donor, a request that has been honored by her family. Of all the things she held dear, her family was the most precious to her. Her legacy of love and faith will forever be imprinted on the hearts of those who were blessed to know and love her.
Left to cherish her memory are her mother, Kim Flora (Ronnie Sloan); grandmother, Juanita Prillaman; daughters, Taylor Church, Morgan Church, Allie Broadaway; sons, Jordan Hunt, Ronnie Hunt, Jr.; sister, Brittany Bocock; uncle and aunt, Kendall and Vicky Prillaman; the love of her life, Ronnie Hunt, Sr.; as well as extended family and friends.
There will be a Graveside Service Friday, October 17, 2025, at 2:00 PM at Roselawn Cemetery with Pastor Joey McNeill officiating. As a special tribute to Kristin, the family has requested those in attendance to wear Peanuts Gang themed attire.
Wright Funeral Service & Crematory is serving the family.
