Obituaries

Thomas Gaston Millner, 69, of Martinsville, Virginia, passed away at his residence Tuesday, January 13, 2026. He was born in Norfolk, Virginia, on October 23, 1956, to the late Thomas Jefferson Millner and Nannie Mae Hairston Millner.

Thomas attended Manor High School in Portsmouth, Virginia, then proudly served his country in the United States Army. He was employed by Piedmont Community Services in mental health as a direct support specialist for six years. His journey with Narcotics Anonymous (NA) began on July 12, 1996. With 29 years of being in recovery, he was passionate about helping others attain success as well. Thomas married the love of his life, Tiffany Gravely, in 2018. He lived his life the NA way serving as a mentor, encourager, and a powerful speaker. Thomas was an avid fan of the Pittsburg Steelers and loved spending time with his grandchildren. His phone conversations with Camille and Damari will always be cherished. His legacy of strength and honor will forever be remembered by his friends and family.

He is survived by his loving wife, Tiffany Gravely Millner; his daughters, Cherokee Millner, Veronica Gravely, Yushika Gravely; sons, Jason Millner, Christopher Millner, Steven Corbett, Atiba Gravely; sisters, Monica Johnson, Felecia Millner, Janet Millner; and eleven grandchildren.

A Memorial Service will be held Monday, January 19, 2026, at 3:00 PM at Wright Funeral Service Martinsville Chapel. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service.
