Obituary For Timothy "Bear Man" Charles Beam

Timothy “Bear Man” Charles Beam, 44, of Martinsville, Virginia, transitioned to his heavenly home Friday, October 10, 2025. He was born March 8, 1981, in Stuart, Virginia to Linda Faye Bray Beam and the late Roger Dean Beam.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his brother, Patrick Anthony Beam; paternal grandparents, Charlie Watts Beam and Loduskey Beam; maternal grandparents, Calvin Clay Bray and Edna Adelia Bray.

Timothy was of the Pentecostal faith and a member of Pleasant Valley Pentecostal Holiness Church in Axton, Virginia. He always knew that God came first and tried to walk in the order of the Lord. His wife, Krystal and children were everything to him; he always worked hard to take care of them. He was a loving husband, a proud father, and a very protective brother who stood firm on his families name and heritage. Timothy was a simple man with a caring heart. He might not always have a shirt on, but if someone needed one, he’d make sure they had it; giving a new meaning to giving you the shirt off your back. He was a hard worker, a provider, and what he liked to call a self-proclaimed entrepreneur and legend.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by his loving wife of twenty-nine years, Krystal Yvonne Hall Beam; sons, Timothy Charles Beam, II, Sladen Dean Beam; sisters, Tammy Gammon (Ricky), Amanda Beam-Adams (Jonathan); brother, Roger Darrell Beam (Sharon); nieces and nephews, Zachary, Selena, Hannah, Candace, Anastasia, Ty, and Skyah; great nieces and nephews, Teagan, Bella, and Adeline; numerous aunts, uncles, extended family and friends.

A private Celebration of Life service will be held at a later date. The family wishes to extend their gratitude for the love and kindness shown during their time of grief.

Wright Funeral Service & Crematory is serving the family.
