Selena Gomez, Timothée Chalamet’s voices meet-cute in new ‘Not Alone’ trailer

Selena Gomez and Timothée Chalamet — or at least their voices — co-star in the upcoming animated film Not Alone. On Tuesday Selena posted a trailer for the film on Instagram, so you can see what their characters look like.
As previously reported, Timothée plays an introverted rocket mechanic named Joe, who meets Selena’s character, Fran, a “brilliant astro-botanist” who’s created a rocket that runs on plant-based fuel. Things get complicated when three aliens plot to commandeer Fran’s rocket to return to their home planet.
In the trailer, set to David Bowie’s classic “A Space Oddity,” Joe and Fran meet while working on the rocket and start a romance, which thrills them both — until the aliens, who all have British accents for some reason, show up.
This is the second time the two have co-starred in a film; the first time was in 2020’s A Rainy Day in New York.
Not Alone arrives in theaters in April 2027. It’s from the same studio that brought you the Despicable Me, Minions and Super Mario Brothers movies.
Trinity Bliss stars as Tuk Sully in ‘Avatar: Fire and Ash.’ (Disney)
Trinity Bliss joined the world of Avatar when she was only 7 years old.
The 16-year-old actress has spent the better part of her life training, filming and promoting her breakout role as Tuk Sully, the youngest child of Neytiri and Jake Sully, in both Avatar: The Way of Water and Avatar: Fire and Ash. The latter film is now available to watch on all digital platforms.
“I have grown up with her, and she’s just such a big part of me and she’ll live in me forever because of that,” Bliss said. “I just saw myself in her in so many ways and I think that was, like, an exciting thing about discovering in her and through her and who she is from the training process to filming.”
Bliss relates to Tuk being the youngest child in the Sully family.
“We both just want to keep up with the older kids, and prove our worth and not be underestimated,” Bliss said. “She’s much more fearless than me, and I wish I could embody that. But even just the fact that she’s mixed race, I saw myself in her in so many ways.”
It’s no secret that Bliss wants to continue Tuk’s story in two more potential Avatar sequels. She says Tuk has been “stuck in this time capsule of being 8 and 9” while she was able to age in real life.
“I would just love to explore her in Avatar 4 and 5, and just see who she is as a teenager and who she evolves into, especially because in the time jump that happens in [Avatar] 4, so much happens to our characters that makes them grow so much in ways they really shouldn’t have to, but in ways that are also so important to who they are,” Bliss said. “I’m so excited at the idea of getting to see her in that way and play her at the age I’m at now.”

It seems Luca Guadagnino’s Artificial is being eyed to be released by Neon.
Deadline reports that Neon is in talks to pick up the film after Amazon MGM Studios decided it would no longer release it.
Neon did not immediately respond to ABC Audio’s request for confirmation.
Amazon MGM Studios confirmed to ABC Audio it would no longer release Artificial in a statement shared on June 19.
“We have the utmost respect and admiration for Luca Guadagnino as an award-winning filmmaker – not to mention a longstanding relationship that we hope to continue,” an Amazon spokesperson said in a statement at the time. “We believe that Artificial will be better served if it were released by a different studio and are working closely with the filmmaking team to find the film a new home.”
Artificial is described as a comedic drama about the world of artificial intelligence. It explores Sam Altman’s OpenAI during a period in 2023 when Altman was fired and rehired in a matter of days. It is directed by Guadagnino from a script by Saturday Night Live alum Simon Rich.
The film’s cast includes Mark Rylance, Andrew Garfield, Yura Borisov, Monica Barbaro, Billie Lourd, Jason Schwartzman, Cooper Koch, Cooper Hoffman and Ike Barinholtz.
It would have reunited Guadagnino and Amazon MGM Studios after he directed the 2024 film Challengers for the studio, as well as 2025’s After the Hunt.

Oscar-nominated Lenny actress and Superman star Valerie Perrine has died at 82 after a yearslong battle with Parkinson’s disease, according to the director behind her biographical documentary.
Stacey Souther, who directed Valerie, a documentary short about Perrine’s life, shared the news on social media Monday.
“It is with deep sadness that I share the heartbreaking news that Valerie has passed away,” Souther wrote in the caption of an Instagram post. “She faced Parkinson’s disease with incredible courage and compassion, never once complaining. She was a true inspiration who lived life to the fullest—and what a magnificent life it was. The world feels less beautiful without her in it.”
Souther also shared information for a GoFundMe page to support Perrine’s funeral expenses, writing that “after more than 15 years of fighting Parkinson’s, her finances are exhausted.”
ABC News has reached out to Souther for comment.
Perrine was born in Galveston, Texas, and worked for some time as a showgirl in Las Vegas before entering the film industry.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, in 1969, while still working as a showgirl, Perrine was romantically involved with celebrity hairstylist Jay Sebring and was invited to — but did not attend — the infamous 1969 dinner party at the home of Sharon Tate where Sebring, Tate and several others were killed by the Manson Family in the now-infamous Tate-LaBianca murders.
Perrine earned early recognition in 1972’s Slaughterhouse-Five, playing adult film actress Montana Wildhack, and clinched her most critically acclaimed role in 1974’s Lenny, the biographical drama based on the life of famed comedian Lenny Bruce.
Dustin Hoffman played Lenny Bruce in the film, and Perrine played his wife Honey Bruce. Perrine was nominated for an Academy Award for her performance and won the best actress award at the 1975 Cannes Film Festival. The role also earned her a Golden Globe nod and two BAFTA nominations.
In 1978, Perrine took on perhaps her most noteworthy role as Eve Teschmacher, the girlfriend of DC Comics villain Lex Luthor, in Superman.
Perrine would go on to play the same role in 1980’s Superman II.
