Lucasfilm has released a new trailer for the upcoming film Star Wars: The Mandalorian and Grogu. Pedro Pascal stars as Din Djarin in the movie based on the popular Disney+ TV series The Mandalorian.
“The evil Empire has fallen, and Imperial warlords remain scattered throughout the galaxy,” according to the film’s official description. “As the fledgling New Republic works to protect everything the Rebellion fought for, they have enlisted the help of legendary Mandalorian bounty hunter Din Djarin and his young apprentice Grogu.”
Sigourney Weaver and Jeremy Allen White also star in the movie, directed and produced by Jon Favreau. Kathleen Kennedy, Dave Filoni and Ian Bryce produce the film.
“The kid will live centuries beyond me. I won’t always be around to protect him,” Din Djarin says in the trailer.
After a series of action-packed fight scenes and brand-new alien creatures, the trailer ends with Grogu snacking on a blue cookie.
“Let’s save the rest for after dinner,” Din tells Grogu, who ignores him and takes another bite of his sweet treat.
Star Wars: The Mandalorian and Grogu, which was filmed for IMAX, exclusively arrives in theaters on May 22.

Whitney Leavitt is saying goodbye to The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives.
The reality star and actress took to Instagram on Tuesday to confirm rumors that she is departing the popular Hulu series. Leavitt will finish shooting the currently in production season 5, but that will be her last season as a cast member on the show.
“I am leaving The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives. Take a minute, take it in,” Leavitt says at the beginning of the video she shared to confirm the news.
It was reported that Leavitt initially announced she was departing The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives during her final performance as Roxie Hart in Chicago on Broadway on Sunday.
“I’ve seen a lot of conversation on my announcement, so I just wanted to come on here and share my thoughts,” she said in the video. “Just to be very clear, I am finishing season 5. So yes, I will be in that season. But also yes, it will be my last.”
Leavitt then remarked on her journey with the show, saying she had been trying to get into the acting world long before joining The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives.
“The reality show, it fell into my life organically and I said yes to it. It’s definitely not the path that I had envisioned in my mind to get to where I am today, but I wouldn’t change a thing,” Leavitt said.
This casting news arrives after filming resumed on season 5 of The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives weeks after its star Taylor Frankie Paul’s season as lead of The Bachelorette was pulled by ABC amid an open “domestic assault investigation” involving Paul and ex-partner Dakota Mortensen.
Hulu has announced a spinoff titled The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives: Orange County, which will star MomTok member Jen Affleck, who is presumably also leaving the original show.

Meryl Streep and Anne Hathaway star in ‘The Devil Wears Prada 2.’ (Walt Disney Studios)
The final trailer for The Devil Wears Prada 2 features a new song by Lady Gaga and Doechii, titled “Runway.”
“You were born for the runway,” Gaga sings at the end of the trailer.
The Mayhem artist was also photographed on the set of the film, but so far, she hasn’t been officially announced as a cast member.
The final trailer for the highly anticipated sequel includes more details about Andy Sachs’ (Anne Hathaway) return to fashion magazine Runway, where she worked as a junior assistant to Editor-in-Chief Miranda Priestly (Meryl Streep) years ago.
It opens with Simone Ashley’s character Amari — Miranda’s new assistant — showing Andy to her new office at Runway, with Andy telling Amari she used to have her job.
In another clip, Miranda tells Andy that she was hired back at Runway to “help us with our current scandal.” She then clarifies that she “did not hire” Andy personally, and all she needs to do is “bide my time until you fail.”
More clips show Andy alongside her former Runway colleague Emily Charlton (played by Emily Blunt) and Nigel Kipling (played by Stanley Tucci).
To celebrate the film’s release, 20th Century Studios is launching an all-new, limited-edition promotional Runway magazine on April 13.
Tucci and Hathaway appeared in a teaser for the magazine release on Instagram, with Tucci reading the issue, which features Blunt’s character on the cover.
The limited-edition Runway issue will be available in pop-up newsstands in Los Angeles, New York City and select locations across the country, as well as online.
The Devil Wears Prada 2 arrives in theaters May 1.
