HENRY COUNTY, Va. – Virginia State Police is investigating a two-vehicle crash, which resulted in a fatality. The crash occurred Thursday, (Oct 16) at 12:45 p.m. on A.L. Philpott Highway, near Preston Road in Henry County.
A 2012 Ford Fusion was leaving the Dollar General parking lot and failed to yield the right of way while making a left turn and was struck by a 2019 Mack Granite truck, which was traveling east on A.L. Philpott.
The driver of the Ford was identified as Cinderella Williams Carr, 80, of Patrick Springs, Va. Ms. Carr was wearing her seatbelt and died at the scene.
The driver of the Mack was not injured.
No charges are pending.
The crash remains under investigation.
