Developers have unveiled plans for Sugar Tree Living, a proposed community on about 580 acres in Axton. The Pittsylvania County project calls for 1,838 homes and apartments, along with shops, parks, a hotel and a fire and rescue station. No construction timeline was announced. County officials approved rezoning in 2023 despite strong opposition from residents concerned about the rural setting.
