Allen Clayton Hall, Jr. “Corky”, 65, passed away Thursday, December 12, 2024, at his residence. He was born August 19, 1959, in Martinsville, Virginia, to the late Allen Clayton Hall, Sr. and Wanda Cruise Hall. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Douglas Dwayne Hall; and longtime friend, William Fretwell.

Corky was a committed firefighter since 1978 and the proud owner of an industrial contracting company, Hall’s Mechanical Services, LLC. He took immense pride in his business and always made sure to express his deep appreciation for both his current and past employees. He served as the president of the Red Knights Motorcycle Club and played a key role in organizing the ride for Cpl. Jonathan Bowling. Corky had a passion for boating, fishing, shooting, and woodworking, but his greatest joy came from riding his motorcycle, whether with his club or alone.

He is survived by his daughter, Jessica Lee Briggs-Hall (Kyle Cody Briggs-Hall); one sister, Susan Lynn Harter (Vincent); one special nephew, Devyn Lee Harter; special friends, Tim Dodson, Mike Joyce, Darrel Bowling, and Steve Meister; and his special companion of more than six years, Sherry Nester.

The visitation will be held Saturday, December 21, 2024, at 2:00 PM, at Bassett Funeral Service Chapel. The funeral will follow Saturday, December 21, 2024, at 4:00 PM at Bassett Funeral Service Chapel with Pastor Gary Hazelwood officiating.
