Obituaries

Brenda Lee Hairston, 53, of Martinsville, passed away Saturday, October 15, 2022 at her home. She was born May 11, 1969, in Martinsville, to the late Lawrence Martin and Ora Bell Hairston Martin. She was a member of Reach Out Apostolic Church, enjoyed shopping, and doing for others, and loved children.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Shirley Johnson.

Brenda is survived by her sisters, Virginia Philpott, Sharon Martin, Dora Martin, Debra Martin, Frances Martin and Cynthia Martin; and brothers, Freddie Hairston (Linda), James Cable Hairston (Edna), Roy Martin, Michael Martin and Donald Martin.

The funeral will be Friday, October 21, 2022, at 12:30 P. M. at Wright Funeral Service Chapel, with Bishop Hall officiating. Burial will follow at Carver Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.
