Clayton “Clay” Keith Puckett, 67, of Spencer, Virginia, passed away Wednesday, August 17, 2022, at Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital. He was born April 12, 1955, in Martinsville, to the late Elbert C. and Florence Ward Puckett. He was a member of Hillcrest Baptist Church. Clay loved to tell stories and joke with his friends, loved to play his guitar, and was always glad to eat at your table!

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Sandy Puckett.

He is survived by his son, Jon Puckett, (Leigh Anne); and a host of family and friends.

His funeral will be Wednesday, August 24, 2022, at 11:00 AM, at Wright Funeral Service Chapel, with Rev. Douglas Ramsey officiating. Interment will follow in the Ward Family Cemetery, on Marigold Road, Spencer. The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service.
