Obituaries

Daniel "Reese" Maurice Kellam, 46, of Martinsville, Virgina, passed away, Wednesday, March 19, 2025. He was born September 25, 1978, in Martinsville, Virginia to Daniel Harvey Kellam and Mary Estes Kellam.

He is preceded in death by his brother, Tracy Estes.

Maurice was a dedicated cook with over thirty years of experience in the food industry. Throughout his career, he worked at several establishments, including Wendy’s in Ridgeway, Virginia, Peoples Gas Sation, Ridgeway, Virginia, and Rangeley’s 102 Market, Ridgeway, Virginia. He attended Magna Vista High School and had a passion for NASCAR and was an avid race fan, as well as a devoted supporter of the Green Bay Packers. He also loved watching baseball, both watching and playing the game whenever he had the chance. However, above all else, he truly loved to cook, bringing joy to others through his culinary skills and dedication to his craft.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by son, Corey Daniel Kellam; sister, Tasha Estes; brothers, Terry “Roy” Kellam (Tammy); and Joey Kellam; special friend, Diane Scott and her son, Brandon Scott; and a host of nieces and nephews.

A funeral will be held Saturday, March 29, 2025, @ 1:00 PM, at Wright Funeral Service Chapel with Elder Terry Kellam officiating. Interment will follow at Fair Haven Memorial Park. A Visitation will be held thirty minutes prior to the service.

The family will receive friends and extended family at other times at 485 Southland Drive, Martinsville, Virginia 24112.
