Obituaries

Delsey Gravely Stockton, 63, of Martinsville, Virginia, transitioned to her heavenly home Sunday, February 8, 2026. She was born August 26, 1962, in Martinsville, Virginia, to the late Lewis Gravely and Lucy Hairston Gravely.

In addition to her parents, Delsey was preceded in death by her brother, Louis W. Gravely.

Delsey was of the Christian faith and was a member of the Galilean House of Worship. She was a 1980 graduate from Laurel Park High School in Martinsville, Virginia. Delsey was a loving and giving person that loved to take care of people. She loved to gather family and friends together to make wonderful memories and cook up something special for them. She loved to cook and that was just one of the many ways to be able to show people her love. She will forever be remembered for all she did and all the love she gave to others.

Left to cherish her memories is a devoted young man, Dontus Hodge, whom she helped raise as her very own child; her sister, Sharon Kellam (Terry); god daughter, Emily Damene Holland; nephew, Bryon Gravely; very special friend, Danny Waller and a host of extended family and friends.

A funeral will be held Saturday, February 21, 2026, at 11:30 AM at Wright Funeral Service Martinsville Chapel with Pastor F. Dionn Noel officiating. Interment will follow at Hairston Family Cemetery. A visitation will be held one-half hour before funeral service.
