Dexter Kenneth "Kenny" Mullins Jr., 73, of Bassett, Va., passed away on Thursday, September 15, 2022, at Blue Ridge Therapy Connection, Stuart, Va. He was born April 2, 1949, to the late Dexter Kenneth Mullins Sr. and Eleanor Jean Stone Mullins.

He is survived by his brother, Don Emmett Mullins of Bassett.

Kenny was a graduate of John D. Bassett High School and later graduated from National Business College in Roanoke. He had worked for Nautica, Bassett Furniture, and Tultex. He was an avid reader and enjoyed playing golf at Gordon Trent Golf Course in Stuart. He was known to make a friendly wager and crack a cold one on the golf course. He was a huge fan of the Washington Commanders football team if they covered the spread, and was also a fan of the Tar Heels.

A graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. on Monday, September 19, 2022, at Roselawn Burial Park, Martinsville, Va., with Minister David Deisher officiating.
