Obituaries

Dolores Young Motley, 73, of Collinsville, passed away on Tuesday, October 11, 2022, at Twin County Regional Hospital in Galax. She was born on June 15, 1949, in Martinsville to the late Denver Lester Young and the late Bess Stone Young. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband, Taylor Brown Motley.

Dolores is survived by two sons, Jeffrey Motley of Las Vegas, NV and Marc Motley (Elizabeth) of Hillsville; grandchildren, William Motley and Jacob Motley.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, October 18, 2022, from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM in the Bassett Funeral Service Chapel. A celebration of life service will follow at 11:00 AM with Pastor Larry Luffman officiating.
