Obituaries

Donna S. Ferguson, age 72, passed away on Sunday, October 16, 2022. She was preceded in death by her parents, Otha Taylor, Sr. and Mary Eileen Taylor.

Donna was employed by Fieldcrest Cannon and Monogram Snack Foods before retiring. Donna was a fun loving, upbeat, spunky lady who sometimes her siblings would say that the West Virginia in her would come out. She was a great cook, loved to go shopping and watch her soaps and was an animal lover.

Donna is survived by one sister, Lisa Lambeth (Joey), four brothers; Roger Mann (Marie), Otha “Stumpy” Taylor, Jr., Eddie Taylor (Debbie Fallin), Ronnie Taylor (Denise), numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Saturday, October 22, 2022 at 11:00 AM at Collins Funeral Home, 30 Riverside Hwy, Bassett, VA. with Rev. Dr. J.D. Harmon officiating. A visitation will be one hour prior to the service from 10:00 to 11:00 AM. Burial will be private.

The family would like to thank the staff of Stanleytown Health and Rehab for the care that was given to their love one.

In lieu of flowers, the family request any donations be made to the SPCA of Martinsville and Henry County.
