Obituaries

Douglas Eugene Owen, 56, of Collinsville, Virginia, passed away, Friday, January 31, 2025. He was born on January 31, 1969, to Cecil Raye Davis Owen and the late Robert Douglas Owen.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his son, Phillip Barton; and brother, Darrell Owen.

Douglas attended Fieldale-Collinsville High School. He thoroughly enjoyed watching sports such as NASCAR and football and his favorite NFL team was the Green Bay Packers. Douglas was an avid hunter and fisherman in his free time.

He is survived by his brother, Daniel Owen; grandchildren, Lily Barton, Jacy Barton, and Hana Barton; nephew, Mickey Owen; niece, Katlyn Wilson; Ash the cat; and many cousins and special friends.

A Memorial service will be held on Saturday, February 8, 2025, at 6:00 PM at Wright Funeral Service Chapel with Pastor Raymond Moorfield officiating.
