Goldie Alberta Rumley, 76, of Fieldale, Virginia passed away Saturday, October 22, 2022 at SOVAH Health of Martinsville. She was born December 4, 1945 in Spencer, Virginia to the late John Harden Rumley and Doreatha Mae Taylor Wade. She was a member of Christian View Missionary Baptist Church and had worked at Dan River Mills. She enjoyed playing cards, cooking and feeding homeless people.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Mary F. Rumley.

She is survived by sister, Margaret Wray; brothers, John Lester Rumley, James Edward Rumley and Ronnie Lee Rumley; grandchildren, Crystal Rumley, Kandis Rumley, William Rumley, Shawnte’ Rumley and Dararall Singletary; and eleven great-grandchildren.

A funeral will be held on Friday, October 28, 2022, at 2:00 P. M. at Wright Funeral Service Chapel with Pastor Perkins officiating. Visitation will be thirty minutes prior to the service. Burial will follow at Christian View Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery. A floating visitation will be held on Thursday, October 27, 2022, from 12:00 noon to 2:00 P. M. at Wright Funeral Service Chapel.
