Obituary For Jeff Griffith

Jeff Griffith, 58, of Bassett, Virginia, passed away peacefully at his home on Tuesday, December 30, 2025. He was born on July 22, 1967, to Gary L. Griffith and Nancy Harbour Griffith. Jeff was preceded in death by his, maternal grandparents, Landis Griffith and Aldean Griffith; paternal grandparents, Edmond and Leia Harbour; mother-in-law, Brenda O’Dell; and his cousin, Penny Stowe.

Jeff was a devoted husband, father, son, and family man. Jeff was a member of Stone Memorial Church, where he served faithfully as an Elder. His love and commitment to his church family, and his walk of faith were evident to all who knew him. Jeff was a devoted prayer warrior remembering everyone in his daily prayers.

Professionally, Jeff worked in inside sales within the Motion Industries after 29 years of service with many special coworkers. He was known for his strong work ethic, dependability, and willingness to help others.

He was married to his beloved wife, Pamela C. Griffith, for 37 years, and together they built a life centered on love, family, and faith. Jeff was a proud father to his son, Landis C. Griffith, and his daughter, Belle Griffith (Andrew Raines), who were the joy of his life. Jeff is also, survived by his parents, Gary L. Griffith and Nancy Harbour Griffith; his brother, J. L. Griffith; his nephew, Noah Plasters; his sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Cindi and Marty Plasters; his father-in-law, Clarence Craig (Evelyn); aunt and uncle, Carol Ann Turner and Roy Turner, aunt, Judy Hazelwood; his special cousin, Sue Whorley; and his two beloved fur grandbabies, Pumba and Timone. He also leaves behind a host of various cousins, church family, and friends who will cherish his memory.

A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, January 6, 2025, at Stone Memorial Christian Church at 12:00pm with Pastor Tim Woods officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow at the Griffith Family Cemetery in Woolwine, Virginia.

Jeff will be remembered for his faith, his love for his family, and the quiet strength with which he lived his life. His legacy of love and service will continue to live on in all who knew him.
