Obituaries

John Henry Fuller, 85, of Martinsville, Virginia, transitioned to his eternal home Monday, July 14, 2025. He was born March 12, 1940, in Martinsville, Virginia, to the late Willie Fuller and Vergie Mae Jones Fuller.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Gloria Fuller-Powers; sisters, Virginia H. Fuller, Ola M. Fuller; brothers, Carl B. Fuller and Ralph E. Fuller, Sr.

John attended Albert Harris School. He was employed as a car detailer who took great pride in his work, dedicating more than thirty years of his life to his work at Lackey Motors and Jiffy Car Wash. He took great pride in his work, finding satisfaction in washing and detailing cars. John was passionate about his work and always gave his best. He found joy in dressing up and was known for always looking sharp. Above all, he loved his family and friends dearly, and his warm presence and genuine spirit will be fondly remembered by all who knew him.

He is survived by his daughters, Trina Hairston (Allen), Wanda Wade-Dodson (Earl); sisters Hilda Holland, Joyce Carter; brother, Michael Fuller (Brenda); seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held Monday, July 21, 2025, at 11:00 AM at Wright Funeral Service Chapel with Bishop J. C. Richardson officiating. The family will receive family and friends at 190 Southland Drive, Martinsville, Virginia 24112.
