Obituaries

Kneevurn Tinsley Walton, 75, of Ridgeway, Virginia passed away Tuesday, January 28, 2025. She was born January 30, 1949, in Henry County, Virginia to the late William Price Tinsley and Hassie Mae Moyer Tinsley.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Larry Walton.

Kneevurn was a member of St. Paul Holliness Church and a graduate of George Washington High School, class of ‘1967. She was a dedicated employee of Bassett Walker where she worked in the knitting department for more than thirty-five years. In her free time, she enjoyed traveling, shopping and cooking. She treasured the time spent with her family and friends. She was always placing others first and loved caring for others. She was greatly loved and will be greatly missed.

She is survived by her, sons, Deacon Nakkia Walton, Sr. (Dr. Sherrika) and Mr. Nikkita Walton (Mrs. Shareka); brothers, Earl Tinsley (Marion) and Arthur Tinsley; grandchildren, Nehemiah Walton, Nakkia Walton, Jr, Trevion Walton, Faith Walton, and Lakadia Gravely; great grandchild, Skylar Walton.

The funeral will be held on Tuesday, February 4, 2025, at 12:30 PM at St. Paul Holliness Church. Interment will follow at Moyer Family Cemetery. A Visitation will be held thirty minutes prior to the service. A Floating Visitation will be held on Monday, February 3, 2025, from 2:00 PM – 4:00 PM, at Wright Funeral Service Chapel.
