In loving memory of Mamie Moyer, who departed this life on February 17, 2026. She was 87 years old. She was born to the late Sam Herford and the late Annie Wade Herford on December 5, 1938, in Eden, North Carolina.

She retired from Pannill Knitting Co. after many years of service.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Hillard E. Moyer; one son, Jeffrey Moyer; one sister, Alberta Dillard, and 3 brothers, Sam, Johnny, and Larry Herford.

She leaves to cherish her memory, two daughters, Linda Gail Moyer of Axton, VA and Nora Moyer of Collinsville, VA, five sons Christopher Moyer and Dwight Moyer, of Axton, VA, Marvin Moyer of Georgia, Kenneth Moyer of Axton, VA, and Ricky (Tamika) Moyer of Ridgeway, VA. 3 grandchildren, Alicia Graham (Ken) of Eden, NC, Shawn Moyer of Greensboro, NC, and Jordan Moyer of Ridgeway, VA. 1 great-grandchild, Kameron Graham, in-laws - Mary Herford, Linda Herford, Elizabeth Norman, DeLores Moyer, Iredale Moyer, Johnnie Dillard, and Sanford Moyer and a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

A visitation service will be held on Sunday, February 22, 2026, at 1:30 p.m. with the Funeral service at 2 p.m. at St. Paul Holiness Church, 2383 Martin Ln., Axton, VA with Elder Barry Dillard, Eulogist. Interment will follow at the Moyer Family Cemetery, Axton, VA.

A public viewing will be held on Saturday, February 21, 2026, at Hairston Funeral Home between the hours of 1 p.m. until 5 p.m. Other times, the family will receive friends at the home of her son and daughter-in-law, Ricky and Tamika Moyer, 280 Roosevelt Dr., Ridgeway, VA from 2 p.m. until 7 p.m. daily.
