Obituaries

Ronald “Ronnie” David Prillaman, 67, of Bassett, Virginia passed away Thursday, January 30, 2025. He was born May 22, 1957, in Martinsville, Virginia to the late John Junior Prillaman and Mary Edna Spencer Prillaman.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his granddaughter, Maddie Woodard.

Ronnie was of the Christian Faith and attended Trash Ministries. He worked in the furniture industry for over thirty years and took great pride in his work. Ronnie loved his family and was an amazing father to his children. He loved people and had many friends throughout his life. He enjoyed playing golf in his free time as well as working with the kids with Royal Rangers at the Pentecostal Holiness Church, Collinsville, Virginia.

He is survived by his loving wife, Dixie Workman Prillaman; daughters, Amanda Prillaman (Billy) and Shannon Prillaman; sister, Jeanne Mitchell (Doug); brothers, Timothy Prillaman (Mary) and Michael Prillaman; grandchildren, Ivy Woodard, Dakota Lee, Kristopher Phillips, Micah Tucker, Alexia Leyva, Aidan Tucker; great grandchild, Koa Tucker; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family and friends.

The memorial service will be held on Saturday, February 22, 2025, at 2:00 PM at Day Star Ministries with Pastor Sammy Caldwell officiating.
