Arrest made in armed robbery at GameStop video store

Police arrested 39 year-old Richard Rotunda in front of the Caesars casino in Danville Friday night. They say he had cash and a fake handgun on him at the time of his arrest.

Police had been looking for Rotunda since the GameStop video store on Commonwealth Boulevard in Martinsville was robbed of an undisclosed amount of money at about 6:40 p.m. on Friday.

A man, who investigators identified as Rotunda through surveillance video at the store, walked in the store on Commonwealth Boulevard, pointed a handgun at an employee and demanded money, and fled on foot.

Henry County Sheriff Wayne Davis said his deputies had received information that Rotunda had traveled to Danville and the Danville Police Department located Rotunda outside the casino and arrested him.
