‘Reacher’ scores early season 5 renewal at Prime Video

Reacher has been renewed for season 5 at Prime Video.
The streaming service made the announcement Monday ahead of Amazon’s upfront presentation. This renewal also comes before the release of the show’s season 4 premiere.
Prime Video credits the early renewal to the show’s popularity. Season 3 earned 54.6 million viewers worldwide in its first 19 days on Prime Video, according to numbers from the streamer. Season 4 is set to continue the show’s high-stakes storytelling. It will find Alan Ritchson back in his starring role of Jack Reacher.
The streamer will release new details on the upcoming season 5 at a later time.
Season 4 is based on Lee Child’s 13th book in his bestselling book series, which is titled Gone Tomorrow. It follows what happens “when a chance encounter with a distraught stranger on a subway goes horribly wrong,” according to an official synopsis. “Jack Reacher is drawn into a complex and deadly game that pits him against ruthless foes from the highest echelons of power.”
Chris Marquette, Sydelle Noel, AGNEZ MO, Anggun, Kevin Weisman, Marc Blucas, Kevin Corrigan and Kathleen Roberston join the show’s cast in season 4.
“From Lee Child’s globally beloved novels to its standout onscreen adaptation, Reacher has evolved into a true powerhouse franchise,” Peter Friedlander, the head of global television at Amazon MGM Studios, said. “The series’ ability to combine high-octane action with compelling character storytelling continues to resonate with tens of millions of viewers around the world. We’re excited to move forward with a fifth season ahead of season four’s debut and to build on this incredible momentum.”

My Life with the Walter Boys is getting ready to return.
Netflix has announced that the third season of the romance series is set to debut on Aug. 6.
The streaming service also released first-look photos from season 3 to tide fans over before they get to see the fallout of Jackie (Nikki Rodriguez) and Cole’s (Noah LaLonde) overheard love confessions.
“The path of true love never runs smooth, especially in Silver Falls. The last time we saw the Walters, Jackie and Cole finally confessed their love for each other, only for Jackie’s boyfriend — and Cole’s brother — Alex (Ashby Gentry) to overhear,” according to an official description from Netflix. “But their conversation was interrupted when Walter patriarch George was rushed to the hospital. Season 3 sees the Walters realize what’s important in the fallout from this – and discover that it’s okay to go after what you want.”
Season 3 finds Alex turning toward his new rodeo racing team while Cole is discovered by a race car driver.
“Meanwhile, Jackie pours her heart into developing the town’s community space. But when a childhood friend arrives from New York, the life she left behind proves harder to forget than she expected,” the description concludes.
Also starring in season 3 are Sarah Rafferty, Marc Blucas, Connor Stanhope, Jaylan Evans, Corey Fogelmanis, Zoë Soul, Ashley Tavares, Dean Petriw and Johnny Link.
My Life with the Walter Boys has already been renewed for season 4. Season 3 will consists of 10 episodes. The series is based on the novel of the same name by Ali Novak.

Sharna Burgess is officially returning to the Dancing with the Stars ballroom.
On Monday, the longtime DWTS pro announced on Good Morning America that she will compete on the upcoming 35th season of the hit dance competition series, marking her first time competing on the show since season 30 in 2021.
“I’m back! Some of you guys guessed it. Yes, I am here with a special announcement to finally confirm I’m back on Dancing with the Stars, baby,” Burgess said. “I’m going to be competing for that Len Goodman Mirrorball Trophy. I can’t wait to be back in the ballroom with my dancing family, and mostly it feels so good to be coming home. I’ll see you all soon.”
The upcoming season will mark Burgess’ 15th season competing as a professional dancer on DWTS.
Burgess previously took home the Mirrorball Trophy with radio personality Bobby Bones in 2018 during season 27. Her last season as a competing pro was season 30 in 2021, when she was partnered with her now-fiancé, actor Brian Austin Green.
Burgess’ return comes as excitement builds for season 35. Several celebrity contestants have already been announced, including Summer House star Ciara Miller, The Traitors star Maura Higgins, Savannah Bananas player Jackson Olson and Jimmy Kimmel Live! personality Guillermo Rodriguez.
Rodriguez will be partnered with returning pro Witney Carson.
The rest of the DWTS season 35 cast will be revealed Sept. 2 on GMA.
DWTS season 35 will debut with a two-night premiere Tuesday, Sept. 15, and Wednesday, Sept. 16, at 8 p.m. ET on ABC and Disney+, streaming the next day on Hulu.
