The official trailer for season 4 of The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives has arrived.
In addition to the brand-new trailer, Hulu has released the key art for the upcoming season — and it’s missing a Mormon wife. Despite being listed as part of the main cast, Demi Engemann is absent from the newly released season 4 key art photos.
This new season of the show finds the women of #MomTok more famous than ever. It follows Taylor Frankie Paul as she is announced to star as the lead in a new season of The Bachelorette. It also takes place during the same time that Jen Affleck and Whitney Leavitt were competing against each other on Dancing with the Stars.
That competition “creates chaos, temptations arise, and tradition turns upside down,” according to the official season 4 synopsis. “Up against unraveling marriages, personal demons and family secrets — they must choose to lean on each other or face their fates untethered and alone on the world’s stage. Will the women remain loyal to their sisterhood to save it? Or will #MomTok shatter forever?”
The two-minute trailer sets up exactly what the Mormon wives have been up to since the season 3 reunion. Paul says it has been a year since she broke up with her ex-boyfriend Dakota Mortensen, and that she’s ready to get back out there.
“I’m not good at dating,” the soon-to-be Bachelorette Paul says, which prompts Maci Neeley to say in return, “You’re about to date 30 people at one time!”
In addition to Paul, Affleck, Leavitt, Enegmann and Neeley, season 4 stars Jessi Draper, Layla Taylor, Mikayla Matthews and Miranda Hope.
Jason Segel and Harrison Ford in season 3 of ‘Shrinking.’ (Apple TV)
Jason Segel is back as the grieving therapist Jimmy in season 3 of Shrinking.
Harrison Ford once again co-stars as Jimmy’s colleague Dr. Paul Rhoades in the third season, which premieres Wednesday on Apple TV. Segel told ABC Audio it never gets old acting alongside the legendary performer.
“It’s the honor of a lifetime as an actor and all that,” Segel said. “I’m still three years in, I have moments where I’m pinching myself, like can you believe it?”
But according to Segel, there’s something better than acting with Ford.
“The coolest part though is that he’s my friend, you know? And he gives me great advice and we have real talks and I feel like that’s been the best takeaway of this relationship,” Segel said.
“We have done a couple scenes in season 3 towards the end of the season,” Segel continued, “where I will remember doing them for the rest of my life. That—what a gift that is.”
As for what advice Ford has shared with him, Segel says that he tends to be pretty hard on himself.
“Harrison Ford has been a real voice in my ear of telling me, ‘Hey kid, you’re doing great. I think it’s time for you to tell that other voice to go hit the road,'” Segel said. “And that’s actually been a real relief.”
Segel said this relief comes from things Ford has said, and also “non-verbally too by accident in that the very effect of doing scenes with somebody like Harrison Ford, if you’re a conscious person, you can’t help but realize, ‘Oh my God, it worked out, I’m here doing scenes with Harrison Ford.'” Segel added, “Whatever voice is trying to tell me I could have done better is being overruled by reality.”
Jason Momoa is looking to reteam with Apple TV. Deadline reports that the actor is in talks to star in the upcoming drama series Nomad for the streaming service. Director Rob Reiner and his wife, Michele Singer, were found dead in their Los Angeles home on Sunday, according to a statement from their family.
Senior law enforcement sources told ABC News the victims were stabbed to death in their Brentwood-area residence.
Reiner’s son, Nick Reiner, 32, was taken into custody on Sunday night on unspecified charges and is being held on $4 million bail, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.
“It is with profound sorrow that we announce the tragic passing of Michele and Rob Reiner. We are heartbroken by this sudden loss, and we ask for privacy during this unbelievably difficult time,” the Reiner family said.
Officials said during a press conference Sunday night that they have not identified a suspect and nobody is currently in custody.
“This is a devastating loss for our city and our country,” Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass said in a statement. “Rob Reiner’s contributions reverberate throughout American culture and society, and he has improved countless lives through his creative work and advocacy fighting for social and economic justice.”
Rob Reiner — a famed director, producer and actor — is known for massive Hollywood hits The Princess Bride, When Harry Met Sally…, Stand By Me, This is Spinal Tap and A Few Good Men and many more.
Officers were called to the home at 3:40 p.m. PT, the LAPD said in a statement, calling the investigation an apparent homicide.
A man and woman were found deceased inside the home, the Los Angeles Fire Department confirmed to ABC News earlier on Sunday. Their ages were reported as 78 and 68 years old.
The senior leadership of the LAPD’s robbery and homicide unit responded to the scene.
A neighbor told ABC News that actors Billy Crystal and Larry David were seen at the house after police had arrived.
“Billy looked like he was about to cry,” the neighbor said.
There are two houses that the Reiner family owns across the street from each other. Rob and his wife lived in one and a daughter with kids lived in another, according to the neighbor.
“They’re a big presence on the block. They’re always having parties,” she said.
Rob Reiner and Singer married in 1989 and share three children, Jake, Nick and Romy Reiner.
Rob was previously married to Penny Marshall, who died in 2018.
The son of comedian Carl Reiner and actress and singer Estelle Lebost, Rob first became famous on the Norman Lear television sitcom All in the Family.
He played the role of Meathead, Archie Bunker’s son-in-law, from 1971 to 1978.
“The Lear Family is devastated by the deaths of Rob and Michele Reiner,” the family said in a statement on Sunday night. “Norman often referred to Rob as a son, and their close relationship was extraordinary, to us and the world.”
“Lyn Lear had remained very close with them and said, ‘The world is unmistakably darker tonight, and we are left bereft,'” the statement added.
California Gov. Gavin Newsom addressed Reiner’s death, saying he is “heartbroken by the tragic loss.”
“His boundless empathy made his stories timeless, teaching generations how to see goodness and righteousness in others– and encouraging us to dream bigger,” Newsom said in a statement. “Rob will be remembered for his remarkable filmography and for his extraordinary contribution to humanity.”
