Martinsville police have arrested a 38-year-old man in connection with an Aug. 1 shooting on Starling Avenue. Kevin Darel Preston faces charges including attempted manslaughter and shooting at an occupied vehicle. No one was injured. Police say the incident is unrelated to the Fayette Street homicide that occurred the same day. Preston is being held without bond.
