A Cascade man faces murder charges after authorities found 39-year-old Mayra Gonzalez Galvin dead Sunday in a home on Cascade Road, according to the Pittsylvania County Sheriff’s Office.
A young child in the home was unharmed.
Police arrested 25-year-old Luis Jaime Oscasio-Padilla in Martinsville after locating his vehicle. He is charged with first-degree murder, armed burglary, and use of a firearm in a murder.
Authorities said the victim and suspect shared a child.
