The official teaser trailer and release date for Josephine has arrived.
Sumerian Pictures has released the first trailer for its upcoming film that stars Channing Tatum and Gemma Chan.
The movie, which also stars newcomer Mason Lily Reeves, won both the U.S. Grand Jury Prize and Audience Award at the 2026 Sundance Film Festival. It will debut to select theaters on Nov. 20 and then expand nationwide on Dec. 4.
Josephine is based on writer, director and producer Beth de Araújo’s personal life experiences. It follows the “psychological fallout after eight-year-old Josephine (Reeves) witnesses a crime in Golden Gate Park. As she acts out, her parents (Tatum, Chan) struggle with helping their daughter cope, while facing their own fears around the topic and how to address it with their child,” according to an official synopsis.
In addition to starring in the film, both Tatum and Chan produced it. The teaser trailer finds both actors as the parents of a young child. We see them comfort and care for their daughter after she witnessed a crime.
“Josephine, can you tell me what you saw?” a therapist character asks the young child, played by Reeves, in the trailer. The child then acts out an act of violence before the scene cuts to Tatum.
“Joe, look me in the eye and swear to me that you’re telling the truth,” Tatum says.
Josephine is also produced by David Kaplan, Josh Peters, Marina Stabile, Mark H. Rapaport and Crystine Zhang.

All That stars are remembering their late castmate Christy Knowings, who died this week in California at the age of 46.
Knowings’ father, Charles Dunn, confirmed his daughter’s death to ABC News on Friday.
Knowings starred on All That, Nickelodeon’s long-running sketch comedy show, for three seasons from 1997 through 2000, appearing alongside co-stars Lori Beth Denberg, Kenan Thompson, Kel Mitchell, Amanda Bynes, Josh Server and Nick Cannon.
Thompson paid tribute to Knowings in an Instagram post Thursday.
“Man this one hit hard!!! Rest well Christy!!! Never could have imagined this day!!” Thompson wrote in part in the post’s caption, alongside a photo of Knowings. “Sending so much love to her family!! She was a real one and one of the funniest people out here!!! Gonna miss you buddy!!!”
Mitchell called his late co-star “truly one of a kind” in an Instagram post that included video highlights of her comedic performances.
“So naturally funny, incredibly talented, and fearless when it came to comedy,” Mitchell wrote in the caption. “She had a gift for creating characters that were big, memorable, and completely her own. I’ll always be grateful for the laughs, the memories, and the time we shared as part of the All That family.”
“Christy, thank you for sharing your incredible gift with all of us,” he added. “Your talent, your characters, and the joy you brought to so many will never be forgotten. Sending my love and deepest condolences to Christy’s family and loved ones. Rest in Heaven, @christyknowings.”
Al Hill, a manager for Knowings, described her as a consummate creative force in a statement to ABC News.
“Christy was a multi talented lady. Whether it was singing, acting, dancing, she was always creating. Always professional and dedicated to her work,” Hill said.

Kristen Bell as Joanne and Adam Brody as Noah in episode 1 of ‘Nobody Wants This’ season 3. (Netflix)
Everybody wants this.
Netflix has released the official trailer for Nobody Wants This season 3. It finds Kristen Bell and Adam Brody back as the agnostic podcaster Joanne and unconventional rabbi Noah. Despite their differences, the pair are a loving couple who navigate their romantic relationship amid the challenges that get thrown their way.
Bell and Brody are joined by other series regulars Justine Lupe, Timothy Simons and Jackie Tohn.
One of the biggest updates in the season 3 trailer finds Joanne and Noah having moved in together. We also see Joanne going to an Intro to Judaism conversion class, where she meets a fellow classmate played by Andrew Rannells.
“I heard about you. You know, the hot rabbi blew up his life to be with you,” he tells Joanne.
“Uh, our story is a little bit more nuanced and much more romantic than that,” she responds.
He stares back at her and blinks unbelievingly. “OK,” he says.
The trailer also touches on the dynamic between Sasha (Simons) and Esther (Tohn) after they decided to separate back in season 2. It also hints at the underlying romantic tension between Sasha and Morgan (Lupe).
“I am done being seen as a liability. People think I’m not a perfect match for Noah, but I actually am,” Joanne says at the end of the trailer.
“Jo, there is no perfect. It’s perfect because it’s us,” Noah responds.
Nobody Wants This season 3 premieres on Netflix Oct. 22.
