Average gas prices in Virginia have fallen 5.6 cents per gallon in the last week, averaging $2.89 a gallon today, according to GasBuddy.
The national average has fallen 4.1 cents to $2.98. The average price in Martinsville and Henry County is down 7 cents, now averaging $2.86 in Martinsville, and $2.80 in Henry County, according to AAA.
Patrick DeHann with Gasbuddy says if there are no major disruptions, he looks for gas prices to remain under $3 dollars a gallon for much of the next few months.
