Obituaries

Avis Mildred Frith Sinclair, 95, died Sunday, November 13, 2022, at her home in Ridgeway. Born September 25, 1927 in Franklin County, she was a daughter of the late Charlie Herbert Frith and Ranie Ada Ingram Frith. Also preceding her in death were her husband, James F. Sinclair, son, J.C. Mullins, step-son, Chris Sinclair, sisters, Vivian Underwood and Gladys Lynch, brothers, Lonnie Frith, Morris Frith, Buren Frith, and grandson, Justin Sinclair. Surviving are her daughter, Brenda Pace (Buford) , step¬daughter, Judy Fink (Steve), sister, Betty Jones, brother, Buford Frith. Six grandchildren, Tim Pace, Elisa Harbour, Heather Finney, Daniellle Hamilton, Christine Sinclair, and Tonya Daniel, twelve great¬grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren.

Avis retired from DuPont with 25 years of service, and was a member of Gospel Baptist Church. Her funeral service will be held at 1 P.M. Thursday, November 17, 2022, at Collins Funeral Home, Bassett, with Pastor Payton Gilbert officiating. The family will receive friends from 12 to 1 P.M. prior to the service. Pallbearers are: Jimmy Underwood, Curtis Jones, Logan Harbour, Chase Harbour, Zane Forbes, Levi Gilbert. In lieu of flowers the family requests contributions be made to Gospel Baptist Church, 8208 Daniels Creek Rd, Bassett, VA, 24055.
