Obituaries

Donald “Don” Edward Pruett, 86, of Collinsville, VA passed away on Tuesday, November 26, 2024. He was born to the late Willie Edward Pruett and Eula Yates Pruett. In addition to his parents Don was preceded in death by his wife Betty Hall Pruett; son, Barry E. Pruett; grandson, Jordan Pruett; sister, Margaret Baxter; and brothers-in-law, Ralph Baxter and Glennon Balser.

Don was the minister at Traditional Christian Church in Collinsville, VA.

He is survived by daughter, Beth Gates (Richard) of Cumming, GA; grandsons, Jared Pruett (Erica), Evan Gates, and Easton Gates; granddaughter, Emily Gates; great-grandchildren, Kaden Pruett, Walker Pruett, Barrett Pruett, and Keri-Jean Pruett; brother, Ken Pruett (Blanche) of Ladson, SC; and sisters, Carol Beavers (Roger) of Midlothian, VA and Betty Balser of Abingdon, VA.

The visitation will be held Monday, December 2, 2024, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.at Norris Funeral Services Martinsville Chapel. A funeral will be held Tuesday, December 3, 2024, at 10:00 a.m. Pastors John Ingram and Ralph Sproles will be officiating the service.
