Jon Robert Armstrong, Sr. Age 80 of Martinsville, VA passed away on December 13, 2024.

Jon was born on June 3, 1944 in Louisville, KY to Jack Richard and Tush Augustin Armstrong. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Jon Robert Armstrong, Jr. He attended Louisburg Junior College and Virginia Tech. He was retired from Randolph Weaver Trucking. He was a member of Mount Olivet Christian Church.

Jon is survived by his wife, Brenda Jenkins Armstrong, daughter, Kimberly Hairfield (Barry), sister, Loyis Armstrong Horton, daughter-in-law, Ashlee Jamison Armstrong, grandchildren, Jamison Mackenzie Armstrong (Coleman Robertson), Jon “Jack” Robert Armstrong III (Julie Rhodes), Benjamin Harris Armstrong and a niece & nephew.

A visitation will be held on Friday, December 20, 2024 at McKee-Stone Funeral Home, 109 Broad Street, Martinsville, VA from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM with a Celebration of Life Service to follow at 1:00 PM with Reverend Tim W. Mills officiating. Burial will follow in Mountain View Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Cancer Society.
