Obituaries

Lois Jackson Brown, 79, of Axton, Virginia, passed away Wednesday, August 3, 2022, at Moses Cone Hospital. She was born June 8, 1943, in Virginia, to the late Madison Jackson and Ruth Gravely Jackson. She was a member of Freedom Baptist Church and enjoyed reading and sewing. She especially loved her children and grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Tyler Brown.

Mrs. Brown is survived by her daughter, Twila May (Tim); sons, J. R. Brown and Joey Brown; brothers, David Jackson (Carolyn), Dwight Jackson (Angie) and Donald Jackson; granddaughter, Dee Dee Cline (Brooks); and great-grandsons, Tyler, Joseph, Haden and Kingston.

The graveside service will be Monday, August 8, 2022, at 1:00 PM at Gills Creek Baptist Church Cemetery, 7100 Brooks Neal Road, Wirtz, Virginia 24184. Pallbearers will be J. R. Brown, David Jackson, Brooks Cline, Joe Brown, Glen Lawson, Bruce Burrells, Jay Havens and Larry Nunn.
