Obituaries

Ola Wagner 78, of Bassett passed away on Saturday, November 12, 2022, at her home. She was born in Lexington, N.C. on March 1, 1944, the daughter of the late Melvin Paul Beck and the late Irene G. Cannaday Beck. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Alois A. Wagner and brother Tony Beck. Ola was a member of Fort Trail Christian Church and was in the Ladies Circle. She was a volunteer for Franklin Co, as a Court Appointed Special Advocate. She enjoyed working on crafts and researching genealogy. Ola loved her family and church the most.

Surviving two sons; Ricky Wagner (Margaret). Michael Wager (Sandra), grandchildren; Michael Wagner, David Wagner, Crystal Minter, great grandchildren; Zaavan, Xzavvn,, Jackson, Maliki, Kaci; sister; Mary “Bonnie” Slaughter and a Fur Baby; Penny.

Visitation will be Wednesday, November 16 from 12:30 -1p.m. at Fort Trail Christian Church with funeral services to follow at 1:00 p.m. Danny Hart will officiate. Burial will follow in Roselawn Burial Park. Donations can be made to SPCA of Martinsville at 132 Joseph martin Highway, Martinsville, Va
