Obituaries

Ralph Donald Sebastian, 74, of Bassett, passed away Saturday, November 30, 2024, at his residence. He was born October 6, 1950, in Bassett, Virginia, to the late Earlie Dilma Sebastian and Ruby Bertha Rose Sebastian. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister, Margaret S. Vernon; four brothers, Richard Sebastian, Homer Sebastian, Leon Sebastian, and Eugene Sebastian.

Ralph devoted his life to serving his country in the United States Army. He cherished moments spent with family and friends, as well as participating in worship services and reading his Bible. Ralph had a passion for classic cars and enjoyed reading in his free time.

He is survived by his loving wife and family, Anita Sebastian; daughter, Ashley Lynn Sebastian and Francis Aleta Sebastian; three grandchildren, Raven Blake, Joseph Earlie, and Alana Mae; sisters, Betty S. Robinson (Bob) and Sandra S. Tomlinson; brother, Gary Sebastian (Judy); Ashley’s mother, Vickie L. Surratt; and several nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held, Thursday, December 5, 2024, at 1:00 PM at Bassett Funeral Service Chapel with Brother Gary Sebastian and Reverend Bob Robinson officiating.
