Randy Gene Prichard, 65, transitioned from this earthly life Wednesday, May 28, 2025, in Martinsville, Virginia. He was born January 16, 1960, to the late Golden Prichard and Sophia Stress Prichard in Welch, West Virginia.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his brother, Ricky Prichard.

After high school, Randy completed two years of college and retired from Stone Container and Valley Funeral Home. The legacy he left behind was one of kindness and he spent his life making friends, as he never met a stranger. He could often be found tending his flower gardens or simply enjoying the outdoors. He was known as “Mr. Fix-It” and “Mr. Cook-It,” and enjoyed preparing meals for others. Music was something that brought Randy joy and he loved playing the piano, dancing, singing karaoke, and all things Dolly Parton. But the thing that meant the most to him was spending time with his grandkids. They were his pride and joy, and he particularly enjoyed fishing with them.

His winsome personality made an impact on all those who knew him. Those left to cherish his memory are his daughters, Tabitha Prichard. Jamel Carter, Kayla Prichard, Rashawn Woods; sisters, Vickie Mullins , Jackie, Sandra Coleman; several nieces and nephews; grandchildren, Zakkary Prichard, Kaia Carter, Keanu Carter, Teagan Beam, Christian Carter, Myteonna Moore, and Landon Moore.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, May 31, 2025, at 4:00 PM at Wright Funeral Service Chapel with Pastor Daniel Collins officiating.
