Richard James Baker, 75, of Bassett, Virginia passed away Thursday, November 21, 2024. He was born July 19, 1949, in New York to the late James Baker and Valence Zeller Baker.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his sister, Judy B. Midkiff.

Richard enjoyed watching T.V.; especially watching westerns, and game shows. In his free time, you could find him fishing or doing crossword puzzles. Richard was a one of a kind man.

He is survived by his brothers, Raymond Baker, and James Baker; and several nieces and nephews.

The funeral will be held on Tuesday, November 26, 2024, at 5:00 PM, at Wright Funeral Service Chapel with Pastor Tony Beach officiating. Visitation will one hour prior to the service. Burial will be Wednesday, November 27, 2024, at 11:00, at Roselawn Burial Park.
