Sam Hubbard 57 of Bassett, VA passed away on November 24, 2024 after a hard fought battle with a rare debilitating disease - Corticobasal Degeneration. Sam was born on August 25, 1967. He attended Bassett High School.

After over coming his disabilities of dyslexia & hyperactivity he worked in the computer field and in technology for several years.

A faithful member of Tabernacle Baptist Church, Sam loved to work in the audio/video room at the church. He also helped with video and sound at Cornerstone Bible College. For many years he was involved in the visitation, outreach, and nursing home ministries of Tabernacle Baptist Church.

Sam was an avid fan of Star Wars and the Dallas Cowboys.

Survived by his mother Ellie Keaton and sister Rhonda Lewis (Brandon), 2 nieces and 3 nephews. Also survived by Frances Prillaman, who was a second mother to him, taking care of him faithfully for many years and especially the past 4 years as his health began to fail, and brother David Foley (Debbie).

Sam chose to donate his body to science.

There will be a memorial service at Tabernacle Baptist Church Saturday November 30th at 11 AM.
