Obituaries

Spencer Brooks Higgins, 49, transitioned from this earthly life Sunday, June 1, 2025, in Medford, Oregon. He was born December 11, 1975, to the late Charles “Gene” Higgins and Kay Holland Higgins in Culpeper, Virginia.

He proudly served his country in the United States Army as a Staff Sergeant in the 101st Airborne, then in the Armed Forces Network, based in Seoul, South Korea. He was employed by the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office. His sons were his life, along with his beloved dog, “Bear.” Spencer enjoyed sports and was an avid New York Yankees fan and a Chicago Bears fan. He was able to attend both of his boys’ graduations with his youngest son’s taking place only two days before Spencer’s untimely passing. Although he will no longer be with us on this earth, his legacy of love for his family will always be remembered.

Left to cherish his memory are his sons, Ethan Higgins and Evan Higgins; sister, Della Wilver (Tim); nephews, Eddy King and Charley King; ex-wife, Corrina Higgins (Jason Girard); three uncles and one aunt; numerous cousins; and his caregiver, Michelle Smith.
