Obituaries

Tearica Danielle Millner, 50, of Ridgeway, Virginia, transitioned to her heavenly home Saturday, May 31, 2025. She was born October 24, 1974, in Martinsville, Virginia, to the late Marvin Bernard Jamison and Paula Renee Millner.

She was a member of Refuge Temple Ministries and a proud graduate of THE Magna Vista High School. She loved cooking and found great joy in preparing meals for her family, always making sure everyone felt loved, cared for, and was well-fed. Tearica loved to sing and had the voice of an angel. She cherished time with her loved ones, significant other James, and her one and only baby girl, Shauntea. She was known for her fun-loving spirit, her warmth, advice, and her loyalty as a proud Steelers fan. Whether she was in the kitchen, watching one of her favorite shows, or simply enjoying the company of those she loved, Tearica lived a life full of heart and joy that will be tremendously missed and remembered by all that knew and loved her.

Left to cherish her memory are daughter, Shauntea Millner; sisters, Tia Jamison and Tennille Jamison; brother, Nigel Millner; and her significant other, James Mills.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, June 7, 2025, at 2:00 PM at Refuge Temple Ministries with Reverend Alan Preston officiating. Interment will follow at Mayo Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery. A visitation will be held Friday, June 6, 2025, from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at Wright Funeral Service Chapel. The family will also receive visitors at her daughter’s home Friday, June 6, 2025, between 3:00 PM – 8:00 PM at 53 Wickersham Road, Ridgeway, Virginia 24148.
